This is a Custom made leather football helmet Researched and specified by fans and thru images researced from old football magazines to mimic old TCU colors which wore this famous four strapper-Solid Black leather football Helmet style during some of their early years approx 1939-1940s. The one pictured is made to mimic the Late 1930s-1940s Decade. Also , prior to the late 1930s TCU also wore a plain Rust Cordovan Helmet in the days when the jersey was the only distinguishing factor. It also wore the Beehive helmet, Flat Top Helmet and Dogear Helmet pre -1920s styles (see these also on our site). We know the Frogs are Purple...and so if you want an all Purple leather football helmet call us (let us know if you want us to customize color to other specific dates we can do) We can deliver one of these great custom color helmets if you like just call in your order or place on line...Comes only in the LG size where one size fits all.7-8 We also make this style in a mini . This great old style, in differnt color combinations, was also used by several other division II schools as well as some early factory Pro, College and High School teams of the 30s and 40s eras too.
